Planet Spark is Gurgaon's most upcoming educational startup set up by MBAs from XLRI Jamshedpur, with extensive experience in learning and development in top MNCs such as Unilever and Novartis across India, Switzerland and South Africa. Planet Spark partners with qualified home-makers and teachers to transform them into Mompreneurs to start their own home-based learning centres. 

Planet Spark uses its own STEPS methodology which combines game based learning, videos and guided practice to create a world-class mathematics program for kids in classes 4th to 6th (soon launching classes 2,3 and 7 and English subject). Our students love our programs and we have been able to achieve improved concentration, engagement and school performance in a very short time. 

With 10 learning centres across Gurgaon, Planet Spark is on its way to select the third batch of teachers for its 'Inspirational Teacher Program'.

Qualifications:

Any bachelors degree with a strong academic record. 

We are open to people from non-Maths and non-English backgrounds to take up teaching, provided they have the skills and the drive.

Strong preference will be given to candidates with Masters / Phd / B.Ed. degrees.

Teaching experience at a school or private coaching is desirable, but not mandatory.

Candidates who have completed their bachelors degree in 2009 or before can only apply.

This program is not open to anyone who is a full-time working professional at an MNC. However, full-time school teachers are welcome to join. 

Role and Responsibilities

As a Mompreneur, you would have to - 

1) Teach students Mathematics and/or English from your home. The students will visit your home for 2-3 hours between 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm (timings flexible).

2) Ensure great learning outcomes by teaching using Planet Spark's engaging learning content.

3) Take part in marketing initiatives for your centre (100% support provided by Planet Spark).

4) Provide constant feedback to parents and to the Planet Spark learning team.

Time requirements: 

Devote atleast 2 hours a day, 6 days a week. Would strongly prefer candidates who can spend 3-4 hours a day. 

Must have a reliable internet connection and a space for kids to learn (drawing room with basic furniture or a dinning table). 

Salary:

We operate on a revenue sharing model. Earning potential of Rs 20,000 to 30,000 per month, depending on the number of hours put in by you. Maximum earning potential of Rs 48,000 per month for those who can devote 4 hours a day for 6 days a week.

Training:

You would be trained in the 'Inspirational Teacher Program' for one week, leading to a certificate from Planet Spark. The program would equip you with becoming a better teacher and teach through the Planet Spark methodology. It will also teach you entrepreneurship and communication skills.
